DESIREE MORALES

Multidisciplinary Artist
San Antonio, Texas

ARTIST STATEMENT

Desiree Morales is a San Antonio–born and raised, self-taught multidisciplinary artist, working across ceramics, painting, drawing, photography, and printmaking. Her practice is deeply informed by San Antonio’s cultural landscape and the relationships formed through local creative communities. As a thoughtful and intuitive listener, Desiree draws creative inspiration from conversations that reveal personal experiences, emotions, and cultural identity.

By translating these moments into visual form, her work explores themes of community, memory, and self-expression. Desiree continuously evolves her artistic style through independent study and hands-on learning at local art classes and community events. Her unique, story-driven approach to art invites viewers to connect, reflect, and feel seen.
